Vanderbilt moving to San Francisco and West Palm Beach

University commits to more campuses outside of Nashville

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – Vanderbilt University continues their push to expand nationwide.

They announced two expansion steps on Tuesday.

University officials announced that they are buying the California College of the Arts campus in San Francisco.

They plan to create a full-time campus serving a thousand undergraduate and graduate students beginning next year.

The University board also approved moving ahead with construction of a new graduate school in Florida.

The West Palm Beach campus will also be available for Nashville students to visit.

The private university has been on a campaign to expand beyond their Nashville roots.

They created a campus in New York City and just recently announced the Institute for Quantum Innovation here in Chattanooga.

The Institute pairs up their researchers with EPB’s quantum infrastructure.
