Veterans Connect with Employers at Paychecks for Patriots Job Fair

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) — Veterans gathered at Chattanooga State today for a special opportunity to connect with employers who value their service.

The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development hosted the annual Paychecks for Patriots Job and Resource Fair, designed to help veterans and their families find meaningful careers after military service.

Employers from across the region offered full- and part-time positions, internships, and training opportunities in a variety of industries — from manufacturing and healthcare to law enforcement and logistics.

“It’s very important to continue supporting our veterans after they’ve completed their time with the military,” said Don Kilgore, Local Veteran Employment Representative with the State of Tennessee. “Our job is to assist them in finding gainful employment and careers that they can continue with.”

The event is part of a statewide effort to bridge the gap between skilled veterans and employers seeking disciplined, experienced workers. Organizers say job fairs like this one highlight Tennessee’s ongoing commitment to helping service members transition successfully into civilian life.

It was a true show of community support for local heroes — giving veterans the tools, resources, and opportunities to build strong futures beyond their military service.
