Vice President Kamala Harris to visit Dalton, GA on Thursday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- On Thursday April 6th, Vice President Kamala Harris, is expected to be in Dalton, Georgia to talk about the President’s economic agenda.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution says Harris will visit Qcells, which is an expanding solar panel manufacturing plant, in Northwest Georgia.

The plant recently announced it’s plans to spend $2.5 billion dollars to build a new plant and expand the existing facility in Dalton. This expansion is expected to bring 2,500 jobs to the state by 2024.

Her visit will focus in on job growth, climate change, infrastructure spending, encouraging more domestic manufacturing of computer chips, and providing relief to business and families during the coronavirus pandemic.
