18 year old woman shot, taken to East Ridge Police Department

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police have confirmed that an 18 year old woman was shot on the 41-hundred block of Brainerd Road shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

She was then taken to the East Ridge Police Department, where we witnessed a vehicle surrounded by police tape yesterday evening.

There was no further incident at the Police Department.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation.

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — A victim involved in an “incident” in Chattanooga arrived at East Ridge Police Station this afternoon.

Police have roped off the station with police tape.

Hamilton County 911 Center reported a shots fired call at 4106 Brainerd Road.

Approximately eight minutes later, a shooting/person shot call was reported at 4214 Ringgold Road, which is the address of the police station.

It’s unclear whether these two calls are related.

East Ridge Police are not disclosing any information at this time.

We have personnel on the scene, updates will come as information becomes available.
