Victim’s family sues Darron Lee for $50 million over suspected homicide

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) The family of the victim of a suspected homicide in Ooltewah is suing a former NFL player.

Darron Lee is charged with first degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Gabriella Perpetuo.

A Hamilton County detective testified Wednesday that she had numerous wounds and broken bones, and that blood was found in the majority of the rooms inside of their Snow Cone Way home.

Now, Perpetuo’s family is suing Lee for $50 million dollars in total damages, and that he is not to profit from this incident.

That lawsuit was filed in Hamilton County Civil Court.

Lee was an NFL player from 2016 to 2021.

He is currently being held at the Hamilton County Jail on no bond, as Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp says she is considering pursuing the death penalty in this case.
