Video of turkey poaching case in Tennessee

TENNESSEE (WDEF) – As turkey hunting season ramps up across Tennessee, wildlife officials do have one warning for “hunters.”

You can’t shoot turkeys wandering in someone else’s yard.

TWRA is posting a video of a turkey poaching case in Rutherford County on Friday.

A man is driving past a home, sees wild turkeys in the yard, pulls a gun an shoots one of them from his truck.

Then he jumps out, and grabs the still-struggling bird and runs back to his truck.

Safe to say, “hunting” from your pickup in a neighborhood is not legal.
