Virginia Might Struggle to Keep up With Vols High Flying Offense

Last year Virignia scored 30 points in a game only once.
They’ll likely need to reach that mark Saturday, if they plan on keeping up with the Vols high-scoring attack.

Virginia won only 3 games last season, but Vols assistant Jerry Mack isn’t buying their record.
Said Mack:”They were in a lot of games last year. You see the record and people just assume that they were not a very good football team. But there were spots, and there were times where they showed flashes, especially in their front defensively.”
The Cavs offense doesn’t have the same cache as Tennessee’s, but it is visually striking.
Said Vols defensive lineman Omari Thomas:”They give you a lot of eye candy. Lot of things they want you to bite, so that way they can do a lot of misdirection things.”
If Virginia’s offense is eye candy, then the Vols offense is stacked with dream-boats, starting with quarterback Joe Milton.
Said Vols tight end Jacob Warren:”Obviously the guy is a specimen. He is physically gifted more than anybody I’ve ever seen at the quarterback position.”
Said Mack:”First time since I’ve been here that we’ve had multiple backs that we’ve got a lot of trust in as an offensive staff.”
Reporter:”How do you view all the weapons you guys have on offense this year?”
Said Warren:”I mean this is how you are successful in a league like this. It’s how you do well. The high-tempo offense. The offense that’s extremely balanced right? You’ve got to have really good backs. Really good wide receivers. And then a guy that can really get’em the ball.”
