Volkswagen adds ChatGPT to voice assistance beginning next week
RESTON, Virginia (WDEF) – Volkswagen is adding ChatGPT assistance to many of their vehicles next week.
The Cerence Chat Pro offers voice assistance for new Jettas and the MY24 ID.4 vehicles.
You will need to get a Plus Speech with AI subscription when you guy a new vehicle.
The ID.4 and ID. Buzz come with 3 years of Plus Speech with AI included at no additional cost, while the GTI, Golf R, and Tiguan will have 1 year included with vehicle purchase.
And ChatGPT will come in Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models in 2026.
The service will let you control navigation, infotainment and climate in your vehicle by voice.
But it will also answer general knowledge questions and even have conversations with you.
