Officially announce Scout company to make electric pickups

 

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Volkswagen’s Board of Directors came to Chattanooga today to get a first hand look at what’s new here.

They officially created the new Scout line and names Scott Keogh as President and CEO.

The Scout brand will be a new, independent company from Volkswagen.

They will make an all-electric pickup for the U.S. market.

The Board toured the Chattanooga plant to see the first series of ID.4 electric SUV’s come off the assembly line.

Volkswagen will soon start producing its all-electric ID.4 compact SUV in Chattanooga.

They also toured the electric battery lab that will test technology to power their new vehicles.
