Volkswagen names Chris Glover as CEO of Chattanooga operations

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Volkswagen Group of America has appointed Chris Glover to take over operations in Chattanooga.

He will become the new President and CEO of Volkswagen Chattanooga LLC beginning on January 1st.

He will succeed Tom du Plessis who is retiring at the end of the year.

Glover is taking over as the Chattanooga plant converts to electric vehicle production.

They will make the full-electric Volkswagen ID.4 SUV here in 2022.

Glover comes to Chattanooga from V-W’s operations in Mexico where he was an Executive Vice President over production and logistics.

He has worked for Volkswagen for 30 years in various countries.

Glover is from South Africa.
