Vols and Mizzou Kicking at 3:30 on CBS and News 12

(utsports.com) KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football’s ranked SEC contests at Missouri (Nov. 11) and versus Georgia (Nov. 18) will feature 3:30 p.m. ET kickoffs on CBS, the league office announced on Sunday. The Volunteers (7-2, 3-2 SEC) will face Missouri (7-2, 3-2) on CBS for the second straight year. UT beat the Tigers, 66-24, in Knoxville last season on the network. The Tennessee-Georgia game will be on CBS for the fourth consecutive season. A total of 13.1 million viewers watched last year’s contest in Athens, making it the second-most watched college football game of the regular season. The Nov. 18 matchup will be CBS’s final broadcast in Neyland Stadium under the current SEC television contract. Including the Mizzou and Georgia games, the Vols will have been featured on CBS four times this season. Brad Nessler (play-by-play), Gary Danielson (analyst) and Jenny Dell (sideline reporter) will be on the call for both. Tennessee, which moved up four spots to No. 12 in the AFCA Coaches poll, throttled UConn, 59-3, on Homecoming Saturday in Neyland Stadium. Eight different Vols scored, and UT registered three defensive touchdowns in a game for the first time in recorded history. The Vols boast the SEC’s No. 1 rushing offense and rushing defense, averaging 227.8 and 97.3. yards per game, respectively. Tennessee has won at least seven of its first nine games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2003-04. The Vols are tied with Missouri for second place in the SEC East standings with three league games remaining.
