Vols Basketball Still Seeking Offensive Consistency

Tennessee has been pretty stingy on defense this season.
They’re 8th in the nation in steals. But at some point, you gotta put the ball in the basket, and that has been a big issue in the Vols last two games.

They scored just two points in the first ten minutes against Ole Miss. And then last Saturday in the loss to LSU, Tennessee struggled from downtown hitting only 6 of 24 three pointers. Shooting woes keep creeping in, but the Vols must march on.

Said head coach Rick Barnes:”You know we’re 10-4. We’ve lost four games to top 25 teams. Two of them on the road in the league. It’s hard to win league games. You want to win them all.”
Said guard Kennedy Chandler:”It’s just us wanting to do everything right. Play as hard as we can. I feel like we all are really confident in ourselves. We just don’t need to think much and just go out there and play and have fun.”

The Vols are back in action Tuesday at 6:30pm as they entertain South Carolina.
