Vols Dismiss Freshman RB Treyvon Paulk

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Tennessee has dismissed running back Treyvon Paulk from the team for what Volunteers coach Butch Jones described as a "personal conduct issue."
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s office, Jones was involved in a domestic situation with his ex-girlfriend. According to the police report, Paulk hit her in the mouth.

Jones said at his weekly news conference Monday that, "We hold our players to a very high standard and expectation of being a member of our football family." Jones didn’t go into detail on the situation that resulted in Paulk’s dismissal.

Paulk, a freshman from Alpharetta, Georgia, hadn’t appeared in any of Tennessee’s first three games. Paulk was rated as a three-star prospect by most recruiting services when he signed with Tennessee in February.
Tennessee (2-1, 0-0 Southeastern Conference) is playing at No. 12 Georgia (2-1, 0-1) on Saturday.
