Vols DL Joe Henderson Not Practicing With the Team

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Tennessee defensive lineman Joe Henderson isn’t practicing with the team due to what Volunteers coach Butch Jones described as an NCAA issue.

Jones said at his Monday press conference that Henderson "was pulled from practice" and that "he’s going through some academic requirements that must be met via the NCAA." Jones declined further comment, though he said the time frame of this particular instance was "an oddity."

Henderson, a freshman from Shaker Heights, Ohio, hasn’t appeared in a game this season.
