Vols in Soul Searching Mode After Blowout Loss to Kentucky

What happened to the Tennessee men Saturday against Kentucky? Yeah their offense has been spotty this year, but their defense has been Mr. Reliable. Apparently the Wildcats didn’t get the memo. They hung 107 points on the Vols in a 28 point victory. Vols had to answer plenty of soul-searching questions after the unexpected blowout loss.

Reporter:”Do you worry about your team’s confidence getting out of this month with confidence in tack?”
Said head coach Rick Barnes:”No. We’re a pretty good team when we have our back against the wall. We’ve always been that way.”
Reporter:”Do you feel like player leadership is a weakness for this team right now?”
Said guard Santiago Vescovi:”Um. No. Definitely I don’t think it’s a weakness. I think this moment is going to help us even more to find out who is going to step up in that role.”
Reporter:”Rick Barnes said that the team needs to change their vibe someway or somehow. Do you see it that way as well?”
Said guard Josiah Jordan James:”Yeah I feel like. I feel like a lot of people have gotten comfortable. Sometimes myself included. I think that we have to do a better job of listening and accepting coaching.”

Tennessee returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to face Vanderbilt for a 9pm tip.
