Vols Plan to ‘Checker Neyland’ For Texas A&M Game

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A raucous, sold-out Neyland Stadium crowd awaits Tennessee’s cross-divisional clash with Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 14, in what will see the return of the Volunteers’ popular fan-driven initiative #CheckerNeyland.Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

#CheckerNeyland showcases Tennessee’s iconic checkerboard pattern through Neyland Stadium, which will be sold out for a 10th consecutive game. This will be the seventh #CheckerNeyland in program history. Last year’s edition saw the Vols top Florida, 38-33, in an epic showdown on Sept. 24.Fans are encouraged to wear orange or white, depending on their seat location. Texas A&M is making just its second appearance in Neyland Stadium. The two teams met during the COVID-19 shortened season with the Aggies claiming a 34-13 victory on Dec. 19, 2020.
