Vols Players Ready to Move on Following Jalen Hurd Departure
Vols junior running back Jalen Hurd announced Monday that he’s leaving the team, even though there are four games left in the regular season.
Hurd’s teammates say they just have to move on without their leading rusher.
Said quarterback Josh Dobbs:”We wish him the best for sure. It was obviously upsetting. My focus is just on the guys that are here.”
Said defensive back Todd Kelly, Jr:”I feel like he made his decision. Now we have to move on. We’re still a team regardless. With that being said, other guys have to step up.”
Added defensive back Derek Barnett:”We wish him the best. He did a lot for us. I mean that’s just one player. It’s not going to ruin the team.”
