Vols Playing Without Cameron Carr and J.P. Estrella in Bahamas

(utsports.com) NASSAU, Bahamas — Two members of the University Tennessee men’s basketball team will not play in the Baha Mar Championship this week.

Sophomore guard Cameron Carr is out for 4-6 weeks with a left thumb injury sustained Sunday in the Volunteers’ win over Austin Peay. The Eden Prairie, Minn., native is averaging 4.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game through the first four contests of the 2024-25 season.

Additionally, sophomore forward J.P. Estrella remains out with a left foot injury that kept him off the court against Austin Peay. He will not compete in the Baha Mar Championship, as he continues to be evaluated. The Scarborough, Maine, native is averaging 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 6-of-9 from the floor, in his three appearances this year.
