Vols Prepare For Creighton Offensive Machine in Sweet 16

Tennessee has now made the Sweet 16 three times under head coach Rick Barnes.
They’ve lost the previous two meetings, so maybe the third time will be the charm.
Although there’s nothing charming about facing Creighton for the right to advance to the Elite Eight.

Even with the Sweet 16 on the horizon, it’s still hard for Tennessee to forget about that shooting performance against Texas.
3 of 25 from downtown.

Said Vols assistant coach Gregg Polinsky:”Man. You couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. People think when you shoot it well, you play really well. We obviously shot it really poorly, but we played well, and we defended really well.”

Tennessee will need to do everything well against Creighton.
The Blue jays are an offensive machine.
They hit nearly 50-percent of their shots every time they play.

Said guard Zakai Zeigler:”They play really fast. They can shoot the ball really well. Kind of reminds me of like Alabama a little bit in a way.”

Polinsky:”They have players that are very skilled. Can dribble, pass, and shoot. Three elements that are really good for any basketball player.  And they’re old.”

Creighton has a one-two punch that every team dreams of.

Said Polinsky:”They have a big that they can score it with inside. Very few teams have that. And they can hurt you from the perimeter through a number of different guys.”

Good luck.

Said Zeigler:”Seems like you can’t let them get hot because if they get hot, it’s going to be a long day.”

Polinsky:”They are really fun to watch. I’m not going to use that term to play. But we are looking forward to it. It’s a great challenge for us.”>
