Vols QB Joe Milton Hopes His Legendary Arm Strength Pays Off This Fall

Vols quarterback Joe Milton has reached Paul Bunyan status with highlights of his strong-arm throws. He’s expected to take the reigns of Tennessee’s offense this season, and who knows, maybe he’ll throw a ball out of Neyland Stadium.

With Joe Milton going into his third season in Tennessee’s insane, up-tempo offense, imagine how his comfort level has improved.
Said Milton:”Wayyy. I say way. I mean a lot of y’s with the line above it. To make the ‘y’ be repeated. Wayyyy better.”
And when it comes to Milton’s arm, he can throw it a long wayyyys.
Said offensive coordinator Joey Halzle:”He has got the bazooka. He can throw it through the wall if he wants to.”
During practice for the Orange Bowl, Milton threw an orange 100 yards.
Orange you glad you don’t have to catch a Milton heater like Vols receivers.
Said tight end Ethan Davis:”Just get on the Juggs a lot more with high speeds. Get my hands stronger and getting used to catching those passes.”
Said receiver Nathan Leacock:”The good thing about Joe’s passes are even though it’s coming really fast, they’re a tight spiral. Those balls are not hard to catch.”
Milton was pretty good in his last start.
19 of 28 for 251 yards and three touchdowns against Clemson.
A nice canvas to draw from.
Said Halzle:”He absolutely has another level he can and should go to. You guys thing about it. He’s older, but that was actually only his fourth start for us I believe. he has got a lot of ball left to play.”
Said Milton:”I don’t watch the Orange Bowl anymore. That was in 2022. I let that game be. I just try to get better every day.”
