Vols Ready For Long Awaited Return to Death Valley

Vols head to Baton Rouge Saturday for the first time since 2010.
Tennessee has lost their last five meetings to the Tigers, but they’re favored to come out on top in Death Valley.

Hello Death Valley, the Vols are glad to be here.
Said offensive lineman Jerome Carvin:”Man we’re just ready to rock and roll. Get back start playing again. Bye week. It was good, but man we’re ready to start playing football again.”
Said defensive back Jaylen McCullough:”I’m excited. I know we’re excited as a team. We’re just ready to play. We’re ready to go down there and play Tennessee football.”
Tennessee tangles with a talented Tigers team, whose players seem to roll out of the same recruiting factory.
Said Heupel:”They’re long. They’re athletic.” Said Carvin:”On film they’re big long guys.” Said Hyatt:”Yeah long. physical.” Said Halzle:” They’ve got long guys that can run and hit.” Said Heupel:”They’re big, physical, long, athletic.”
Tennessee may have the most talented player on the field in quarterback Hendon Hooker, who is leading the highest scoring offense in the S-E-C.
Said quarterbacks coach Joey Halzle:”One of the best things about Hendon is he is the fiercest competitor I’ve ever been around. Yeah Hendon is playing at an extremely high level right now. He has earned everything he is getting. Guy puts more time in preparation than anyone I’ve ever been around.”
Said receiver Jalin Hyatt:”I believe we have a Heisman quarterback. When you have a Heisman quarterback you’ve got to have the receivers to make plays. My only individual wise. I want to make plays for him.”
Never easy winning in Baton Rouge, but at least the Vols avoid Death Valley at night with a noon kickoff.
Said head coach Josh Heupel:”Yeah if you ask coaches everywhere, they’ll say give me the earliest kickoff possible.”
Said Carvin:”Me personally. I love noon games. Love as soon as you wake up. Pregame meal. Get ready to roll to the stadium and get it on.”
Said Halzle:”They are going to come and hit us right in the mouth. We are going to have to answer that, and it’s going to be a great environment to do it to.”
