Vols Remain Dialed in Despite Murky Playoff Chances
With the playoffs likely out of the picture for Tennessee, it’s not like the players are going turn in their gear with three games to go in the season.
Said defensive back Colton Hood:”That college football playoff or bust thing is kind of misleading. As players of course you don’t want to lose. You want to make the playoffs. That’s the goal you set before the season. Each week you just want to go out there and play your best.”
Said defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs:”Keep staying locked in. Keep staying positive. Remember what our goal is. You always remember that, so there should be no reason to come out here and half-ass stuff.”When you are still going to get 100,000 people to show up to your games, how can not want to give your all for Tennessee.
Said defensive back Jalen McMurray:”I love this place. It has been a blessing to be able come here.”
Said Hobbs:”We came here to play football. Every practice is an opportunity to get better. If you have that mindset, which everybody should have throughout the season, then you better yourself and the better the team will be.”
Coach Heupel isn’t worried about a let down…down the stretch.
Said Josh Heupel:”Don’t expect this team to do anything but compete as we finish this one out.”
