CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Union Gospel Mission is extending a helping hand once again this Easter.

They’re hoping to provide 400-500 meals this Sunday, April 5.

The nonprofit will be on the front lawn of the Bessie Smith Cultural Center to minister to those in need.

They spend holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter serving people who may go without.

The annual Easter Sunday dinner will be held downtown from 1-3 p.m.

Volunteers are encouraged, but if you can’t commit to serving this weekend, monetary donations are always helpful. The nonprofit also gives out “blessing bags” which provide hygiene products and essential items.

You can make those donations in person at the UGM’s location on 124 Signal Hills Drive.

Visit their website and social media platforms for ways to get plugged in.
