Volunteers needed to retire wreaths at the National Cemetery

Wreaths Across Chattanooga 2023

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Wreaths Across Chattanooga (WAC) is searching for volunteers to retire wreaths at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The wreaths will be retired (removed) Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.

No registration is required to volunteer, WAC just asks you show up at the date, time and location.

Volunteers may park at the cemetery on the right side along the curb (not on the grass).

“So many “Thanks” to all those that donated financially, donated their time or donated their services and can proudly state: “That on December 14, 2024, we remembered that the freedoms that we have today did not come without a price.”

– Captain Mickey McCamish, U.S. Navy (retired), Wreaths Across Chattanooga

WAC asks volunteers to please bring gloves, poles, ropes and on arrival, bring wreaths to the roadway and toss into the compacting trucks.
Approximately 49,000 wreaths need to be retired.
