Wacker unveils new trailblazer cafe
BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Wacker unveiled a new portion of their campus in Charleston this week.
The Trailblazer Café is now open to the approximately six hundred and 50 team members at the chemical plant.
It is named after the first 53 employees at the plant who began working at the Charleston facility in 20-11.
Previously, the plant did not have an on-site cafeteria.
However, after a visit to the company’s headquarters in Germany by plant leaders, they felt it was time to enhance their work environment while giving employees an on-site option for lunch.
“That is an incredible morale boost for employees. The fact you could sit and have lunch with your colleagues and have conversations away from work, that is a morale boost.”
-Michael Morgan, Production Manager at Wacker Charleston
The café has a dedicated chef, salad bar, and rotating menu among other perks.
