Walker County man arrested for child molestation

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — A Walker County man was convicted of four counts of child molestation and three counts of sexual battery against a child.

Stewart Arra Kelley was convicted earlier this summer.

He has now been sentenced to 45 years of probation.

The first 25 years of his sentence are to be served in confinement.

In February of 2020, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report made by Kelley’s wife.

A distant relative had asked her if she knew her husband was a child molester.

During the investigation, law enforcement found that two of Kelley’s relatives had been sexually assaulted by him, from the ages of 10 to 16.
