WALKER COUNTY — A Walker County man has been convicted on several charges involving sexual abuse of a minor.

On May 19, 2026, a Walker County jury found James Franklin Frazier guilty of four counts of Aggravated Child Molestation, Aggravated Sodomy, and eighteen counts of Child Molestation following a two-day trial, according to the LMJC District Attorney’s Office.

They say the evidence presented at trial showed that the Frazier abused three young girls over an extended period of their childhoods.

During the trial, the jury heard testimony describing a pattern of manipulation and grooming.

They say the victims testified about years of abuse occurring during overnight visits, movie nights, camping, and other situations where Frazier had isolated access to the children.

More evidence showed that despite disclosures to family members, the abuse was never reported to law enforcement until one victim made the courageous decision to report the abuse to a
school official.

Following that outcry, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office began its investigation. During the investigation, the two additional victims disclosed their abuse during forensic interviews.

The State also presented testimony from another young witness who described similar grooming behavior by Frazier, including gifts, special attention, and invitations to participate in activities
such as camping and movie nights — the same types of situations in which the victims testified the sexual abuse occurred, according to the LMJC District Attorney’s Office.

On May 27th, 2026, Frazier was sentenced to Life with the first 70 to be served in the Department of Corrections.
