LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF) – A nurse in Walker County has been arrested for what police say is sexual misconduct in a nursing home.
The Lafayette Police Department says 39-year-old Jessica Camp is charged with sexual assault against a person in custody as a person of authority.
In their arrest report, detectives said they were called out to the PruittHealth Nursing Home on Roadrunner Boulevard in Lafayette.
They say they received a complaint that a resident had been scammed by Camp for $1,300 in rent in exchange for sexual favors.
Another resident at the facility told investigators that they had been scammed for $750 in a similar manner.
Both residents said they were disabled and had been led to believe that Camp was their girlfriend.
We have reached out to PruittHealth, who operates nursing homes in Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas, for comment on this arrest, but have yet to hear back.
Camp has been booked into the Walker County Jail.
