Walker County Sheriff’s Office warns of scam

WALKER COUNTY — The Walker County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is warning locals about a scam that could impact them.

They say they are receiving calls of individuals calling them advising they have missed a court date or jury duty and are identifying themselves as employees of the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.

The WCSO says that is not the way they conduct business and they ask individuals to not give any personal information or financial information to anyone you do not know.
