Walker Valley Assistant Taylor Harvey Named New Rhea Co Head Football Coach

Rhea County has settled on their new head football coach.

They’ve tabbed Walker Valley defensive coordinator Taylor Harvey to replace Mark Pemberton.

Harvey has been on the Mustangs staff ever since Drew Akins took over the Walker Valley program in 2019.

Harvey was just named the Tennessee Class 5-A defensive assistant coach of the year.

He helped mold a stingy Mustangs defense this past season, as Walker valley made the semi-finals of the state playoffs.
