Wamp announces third Veteran Service Officer to be added in Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A major expansion is coming to Hamilton County’s Veterans Service Office, Mayor Weston Wamp announced today.

A third Veteran Service Officer will be added, giving the VSO its largest team in the history of Hamilton County.

They are exploring the possibility of opening another satellite location in the future.

Right now, they have offices in the downtown area, Soddy-Daisy and Collegedale.

“This expansion is about making government work better for the men and women who’ve sacrificed for all of us.  By growing this team, we’re not just keeping our promise to veterans—we’re extending our reach across Hamilton County to meet them where they are, ensuring their service is honored with meaningful support and that they receive every benet they’ve earned.”

The third officer will reduce wait times, make services more efficient, and have the capabilities to process more claims.

“This is a big win for Hamilton County’s veterans.  Our team has worked tirelessly to serve those who’ve worn the uniform, and this investment gives us the capacity to reach more veterans, respond faster, and help them get the support they’ve earned.”
