Warriors vs. Suns odds, line: NBA picks, predictions from model on 52-37 run

The Golden State Warriors proved they’re still the class of the West with an impressive victory against the Nuggets on Friday night. Up next, they’ll play host to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Warriors (45-20) were in a funk, but broke out of it Friday in a 122-105 home victory, while the Suns (15-51) won have four of five after snapping a 17-game skid.

Golden State is favored by 17 in the latest Warriors vs. Suns odds, while the over-under for total points scored is 235. Before making any Warriors vs. Suns picks of your own, check out the NBA predictions from SportsLine’s proven projection model.

This model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, is crushing its NBA picks. It entered Week 20 of the 2018-19 NBA season with a sterling 222-169 record on all top-rated picks, returning more than $4,000 to anybody following them. And it has been particularly red-hot on its A-rated NBA picks against the spread, entering Week 20 on a blistering 46-32 run. Anybody who has followed it is way up.

Now the model has dialed in on Warriors vs. Suns. We can tell you it’s leaning under, but it’s also showing a pick against the spread that cashes in nearly 60 percent of simulations. That one is available exclusively at SportsLine.

The computer knows Golden State had dropped four of six, but looked like the Warriors we’ve come to expect on Friday, handling the Nuggets in a clash of the top teams in the West. DeMarcus Cousins had 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and six blocks in 28 minutes, while Klay Thompson hit nine shots from beyond the arc and scored 39 after missing a pair of games.

That doesn’t even account for Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, who totaled 43 points. When Golden State has its complete starting five, it is 12-1. And it has been successful against Phoenix in three games this season, winning them all by an average of 14.3 points.

But just because Golden State is healthy and coming off a huge victory doesn’t guarantee it will cover the Warriors vs. Suns spread on Sunday.

The model also knows Suns had lost 17 straight before its recent upswing. Rookie Deandre Ayton has been a big part of that, averaging 17.8 points and 10.0 rebounds in February before adding 26 points and 10 boards in a victory against the Lakers a week ago.

Phoenix played Saturday night at Portland, but quick turnarounds have favored the Suns, especially against the spread, where they’re 5-1 on the second game of back-to-backs. Fridays night’s impressive victory aside, Golden State is still only 2-12 against the spread in its past 14 and hasn’t covered in a Sunday game since November.

Who wins Suns vs. Warriors? And which side of the spread can you bank on in nearly 60 percent of simulations? Visit SportsLine now to see which side of the Suns vs. Warriors spread to jump on, all from the advanced model that is up more than $4,000 on its NBA picks this season, and find out
