Weekend Activities in Chattanooga areas

There’s a lot to do here in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend. Let’s take a look at what’s going on.

The third annual Latin Festival is tomorrow.

Celebrate culture, while helping Chattanooga state’s Latino scholarship and English as a second language program, at the same time!
The festival features folkloric dance and musical performances by local and regional performers, plus a parade of nations, and authentic food.
It runs from 11-3 at the Highland Park Commons.

You can also continue your Cinco de Mayo celebrations at running of the chihuahuas tomorrow afternoon.

Watch hundreds of chihuahuas compete in the 10th annual race, and enjoy live music early on in the afternoon.
Pop singer Aaron Carter is even making an appearance!
Activities take place all the afternoon, with the race starting at 6 pm at the First Tennessee Pavilion.

If you like pottery, you can check out the Tennessee Pottery Festival tomorrow in the Knoxville area.

The event features 20 of the country’s finest potters, and you can look at or even buy goods made of clay.
The festival is from 10-4 at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.

If you’d rather see an upbeat concert, country music star Luke Bryan is performing in Nashville tomorrow night.

It’s part of his huntin’, fishin’ and lovin’ every day tour, with special guests Brett Eldredge and Adam Craig.
The show starts at 7pm at the Bridgestone Arena.

And this is the first weekend Lake Winnie park is open for the season.

Enjoy fun carnival rides and rollercoaster, along with delicious food like caramel apples and funnel cake.
The park is open from 10-8pm tomorrow, and 12-6pm, Sunday.
The water park is still closed until later this month.
