Weekend lane closures on I-75 at I-24 Interchange for road repairs
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Drivers traveling near the I-75, I-24 interchange this weekend should prepare for temporary traffic disruptions as TDOT continues work on Phase 2 of the improvement project.
Starting Friday, March 21, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. ET, crews will close the right lane on I-75 South from SR 153 to the bridge over the CSX railroad to repair damaged concrete slabs.
The closure will remain in place until Monday, March 24, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. ET.
Traffic merging from SR 153 South onto I-75 South will need to yield before merging. I-75 North will not be affected.
Drivers should expect significant delays and consider using alternate routes.
TDOT urges motorists to follow posted signage and remain alert to changing traffic conditions.
This work is weather-dependent, and any delays due to inclement weather will result in a rescheduled closure.
Uniformed police officers will be present to assist with traffic control.
