Where does Volkswagen rank for Auto making pay?
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Center For Automotive Research is ranking worker pay at the auto plants in the U. S.
And Chattanooga’s Volkswagen plant comes in as the lowest.
The study found VW pays on average of $38 an hour.
BMW’s Spartanburg plant pay $39.
The Asian automakers are paying in the forties.
While U.S. companies hit the 47-58 dollar range.
But the top paying plant in the south is the Mercedes-Benz facility in Vance, Alabama.
The average worker pay there is $65 an hour.

The Japanese companies have the highest number of temporary workers.
