The white Pelicans are in Soddy Daisy and they are the talk of the town.

The Tennessee Aquarium Curator of Forests says that the birds are only here temporarily as they migrate back to the North.

They are not expected to mate in this area so they won’t be multiplying.

But Aquarium Curator Kevin Calhoon says we should enjoy their visit while it lasts.

“Enjoy them! They are the second largest bird in the United States. The largest is the California Condor. So, the American white Pelican wing span can be 9 feet. So, just enjoy them.m It’s nice to have them around.m They are a very spectacular bird.”

Don’t worry about them eating all of the fish.

They only eat carp and other rough fish.
