WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – Whitfield County EMS will host their second annual Touch-A-Truck event this Saturday.

More than 1,000 people came out to the event last year.

Touch-A-Truck is a great way for children to meet first responders and learn about what they do.

They can also take pictures in their vehicles. Plus, there will be candy.

“This is an all around good community event, to let them know what we do and why we do it and public safety. It is just a good event that has been put on just for the kids,” said David Metcalf, Director of Whitfield County Emergency Services.

Touch-A-Truck takes place Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on South Selvidge Street in Whitfield County.

They encourage everyone to come out in their Halloween costumes.
