Whitfield County authorities arrest suspect in connection with armed robbery at Dixie Corner
UPDATE (8/5/2025): Authorities in Whitfield County have made an arrest in regard to the armed robbery Tuesday morning.

The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) arrested Kenneth Jones Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Tuesday morning, Jones stole approximately $3,000.
He was arrested within two hours of the incident.
Whitfield County Sheriff Darren Pierce thanked the public for the helpful calls and tips.
WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery.
The incident occurred at the Dixie Corner on East Walnut Avenue and Pleasant Drive on Tuesday morning.
WCSO has provided a photo of the suspect, and says he’s possibly caring a small handgun.
