Whitfield County looking for woman suspected in stabbing her ex

WHITFIELD COUNTY, Georgia (WDEF) – Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in an early morning stabbing in Whitfield County.

They got the call around 5:20 Monday morning at a home on 1847 Riverbend Road.

Deputies found 57-year old Sidney Lamar Quarles with wounds to his arms, legs, and chest area.

Investigators say Quarles and his ex-girlfriend got into an argument that turned physical.

They believe 31-year old Carmon Patterson attacked him with a pair of scissors, stabbing him several times.

Quarles was taken to the hospital and Patterson is on the run.

His injuries are not considered life threatening.

She faces a charge of aggravated assault.
