Whitfield Deputy makes “arrest” of Boa on the prowl

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office got an unusual call last week.

A homeowner on Cedar Ridge Road said that a seven foot boa constrictor snake was in the yard hunting their Chihuahua.

Luckily, the Sheriff’s Office has a resident “snake charmer.”

Deputy Cory Spence took the snake into custody.

Officers found the boa a new home at a refuge in Chatsworth.
