Whitfield Firefighters contained a fire right next door to their station
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- In Dalton, the “rarely seen fire” took place right next door to the Whitfield Fire Department itself.
At 12:08 a.m. firefighters responded to the 9-1-1 call, and in just about three minutes the team was on scene.
The building is occupied by a small business and tenants who also live there.
One person was transported by Hamilton EMS to the Hamilton Medical Center where the victim sustained burns and damage from smoke inhalation.
The building is still standing although it sustained significant fire damage.
The cause for the fire is still under investigation.
