Wildfire takes several companies to extinguish near Lee Hwy

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A wildfire started near Lee Highway over the weekend, taking six fire companies to extinguish.

The Chattanooga Fire Department said the fire was on the hill close to Grace Works Church. However, firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to any buildings.

Officials believe the cause of the fire may have been lightning.
