Woman arrested following pursuit on Hixson Pike
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A woman was arrested after being involved in a pursuit on Hixson Pike.
At 8:00 a.m., September 10, 2025, deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 8500 block of Hixson Pike.
The stop involved a Ford Explorer traveling 46 mph in a 25 mph school zone.
The driver of the Explorer failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.
According to the HCSO, the pursuit continued southbound on Hixson Pike for four miles.
Eventually, the driver, later identified as Kia Dixson, pulled into a convenience store in the 6400 block of Hixson Pike.
Dixson was then taken into custody.
The HCSO also noted a three-year-old child and a dog were found inside the vehicle.
Dixson is being charged with the following:
- Speeding in a School Zone (46/25)
- Evading by Motor Vehicle
- Reckless Driving
- Financial Responsibility Law
- Additional Traffic Offenses
She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
