Woman arrested following traffic stop in Graysville

A woman has been arrested in Graysville after a traffic stop.

According to the Graysville Police Department (GPD), on April 28, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on a red passenger vehicle entering the city limits.

During the stop, officers made contact with the driver, identified as Kayla Moore.

A K-9 unit conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle, during which K-9 sniper alerted to the presence of narcotics. Based on this alert, officers conducted a search of the vehicle.

They say during the search, officers located digital scales, small plastic baggies commonly associated with the distribution of narcotics, and a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

GPD says a total of approximately 5 grams of the suspected methamphetamine was recovered and seized, with portions located inside the vehicle and on Moore’s person.

Moore was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Rhea County Detention Center for booking.
