Woman charged with child abuse after child was burned

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – We have new details on a child burned in Hixson.

Officers arrested 22-year-old Tihonie Berry Barnett on two counts of aggravated domestic assault and one count of aggravated child abuse.

On June 8th, police responded to a child abuse call, where a child was found with a severe burn on her arm.

Officers say the burn resembled the shape and size of a clothes iron.

Barnett was arrested for separate domestic assault charges yesterday.

Her bond is set at 80-thousand dollars.
