Woman Crashes Car into Two Auto Repair Shops

Harrison, TN (WDEF) – A local woman is in the hospital tonight after crashing her car into both the “German Autohaus” garage, and the front of Carter’s Shooting Supply in Harrison.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began is a routine traffic stop near the Mapco on Highway 58. The woman, Lesha Jones, was found driving on a revoked license. Jones also had two children, ages 4 and 9, in the car with her along with her boyfriend, Dominic Gallespie.

Once deputies found that Jones had warrants out for her arrest on charges of assault and threat, they attempted to bring her into custody. That’s when Jones drove off, going down a residential road, through a yard, a fence and then crashed into both businesses.

Before deputies could get her into custody, she took off on foot and a foot pursuit ensued. Deputies later located Jones and found her to be non-compliant.  Jones was tased, placed into custody, and later taken to an area hospital for medical review.

The grandmother of the children responded to the scene to take them and the boyfriend to another location. The charges against Jones have not all been officially listed, but will include felony evading, reckless endangerment, among others.
