Woman killed after her 2nd crash on Hickory Valley Road

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Hamilton County traffic investigators are looking into a strange fatality this afternoon on North Hickory Valley Road.

A 2002 silver Lexus SUV left the road around noon and hit a utility pole in the 8800 block.

But the driver got back on the road after that crash.

She then crossed the center line and was hit by a Chevy Trailblazer head on.

The Lexus driver, Erma Kimbrough, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

She was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver of the Trailblazer was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
