Woman protesting Gazan War disrupts Commission meeting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)-  The ongoing developments in Gaza led to a chaotic scene inside of the Hamilton County Commission.

This is after President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that he would like the United States to take it over in a meeting with Israeli President Benjamin Netyanhau.

During a debate on school funding during Wednesday’s county commission meeting, one resident gave the room an earful on the ongoing war.

The protestor screamed at commissioners, “Excuse me, I’m talking… So what y’all call slum clearing, is a genocide. It’s displacement, It’s a disgrace.”

At that point, she was escorted out of the chamber but continued her rant.

“Oh okay? Why am I out? For speaking the truth? This is a genocide! We as a society want to clear the slums? That’s what you call it? It’s a genocide! It’s displacement! (yelling) IT’S A DISGRACE AND YOU’RE LIARS!”

The meeting continued without further incident.
