Woman shot in Brainerd on Monday night

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga police are investigating the shooting of a woman Monday night in Brainerd.

Police got the call that a gunshot victim had been taken to a local hospital.

They found that 29 year old Lawanna Carter had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A witness says it happened in the 4000 block of Rogers Road, which is a few blocks off of North Germantown.

The witness said a man approached a vehicle and fired shots at the woman.
