Woman’s body found in LaFayette apartment

LAFAYETTE, GA (WDEF-TV) LaFayette Police responded to the Langley Apartments after reports of a body being found.

The body was that of 46-year-old Francis Middleton.

Neighbors said they saw her feet through a opening at the bottom of her door. They then went in the house to find her dead.

Captain Stacey Meeks of the LaFayette Police Department said when he arrived, she was in a pool of blood and had been dead for a while.

A family member, who spoke to News 12 off camera, said she is in shock about what she heard wand wants anyone who has information come forward.

Local police and GBI said they are investigating this as a homicide.
